SIMPLIFY NUTRITION
We recommend a whole-food approach to meeting nutrition needs for helping with children’s growth and development.
Fruits and Veggies
Fruits and vegetables should be the bulk of what we eat. They make great snacks, smoothies, and sides.
Protein
There are many options for protein sources: beans, milk, cheese, chicken, fish. Protein helps to grow strong muscles and bodies.
Hydration
Water, water, water….It’s soooo important for health, vitality, and brain function.
Calcium
Growing kids need ample calcium and vitamin D to grow tall and strong. Calcium is easiest to find in milk, cheese, and yogurt. It is also in smaller amounts in nuts, broccoli, and spinach.
Limit sugars, processed, and fried foods. These foods can make it harder for your kids to function and focus. The good news is, the more your prioritize the foods above, the more it will displace some of the less beneficial choices!
